Google launches Selfissimo!, Storyboard and Scrubbies

12th December 2017

Google has just launched three experimental applications to make even more use of our smartphone when taking pictures. These are the applications Selfissimo!, Storyboard and Scrubbies and each one of them gives us different ways to experiment with our own photographs and videos.

These three applications launched by Google try to get the average user to experiment with their own photographs and videos, sometimes achieving spectacular results. All within the so-called appsperimental program which in turn is inspired by the Motion Stills application. A video stabilization system that works wonders with short videos. Selfissimo!, Storyboard and Scrubbies encompass technologies that the company is currently experimenting with as well.

Selfissimo!, Storyboard and Scrubbies!

Selfissimo! is an application that allows the user to make selfies as it has not done so far with spectacular results. It is an automatic camera that makes selfies while the user only has to do it in different ways. When we change our pose, we make a new selfie, and all while the same application animates us.

Storyboard is an application that creates a comic strip by taking different frames from our videos. The same application analyzes these frames to select the best ones and create the perfect vignettes with them. Filters are applied to give it that comic look and we can change the selection whenever we want, besides being able to change also the filters applied.

Scrubies allows us to make a kind of remix with our videos like a DJ would. We can create video loops when you pass and rewind at high speed using a clip. This application is currently only available for iOS, and the other two are also available for Android.
