WhatsApp has released the new 2.17.431 beta version of WhatsApp for Android through the beta testers program in the Google Play Store, introducing minor bug fixes, general application enhancements, and a new feature for group management.
WABetaInfo colleagues have had the opportunity to test it and have posted some screenshots about it. With this new feature, group chat administrators can temporarily disable the ability to write messages to all normal users.
WhatsApp for Android Gives Group Administrators More Power
This is currently possible every 72 hours, but it is assumed that this limit can be reduced to 24 hours so that it can be used, for example, to close the chat room at night. Users involved in blocking can only communicate with the administrator by clicking the appropriate button at the bottom of the window.
It should be remembered that in order to download this Beta update from Google Play, you have to be a WhatsApp Beta Tester beforehand, something that is no longer possible to do, so if we want to have these new features in the application you have to take advantage of APK by other means than the official application store. Here’s a download link: APK Mirror.
