WhatsApp for Android has updated its beta version to the new version 2.17.438, its stable version was updated a few days ago with many new features to version 2.17.427. This new beta version brings a lot of novelties, although most of them are still hidden and unactivated.
The novelties that we can find in this new beta version already started to appear from version 2.17.434, most of them based on groups, such as the possibility of unlocking previously blocked contacts from our contact list. We will simply have to press this contact and click on the option that will appear “Unlock and send message”.
Group Calls in WhatsApp for Android
Group calls are one of the most awaited novelties of all, and in this new update there are still clues about what this new feature will be. In addition, we can also make group video calls with up to 3 participants, telling us about it.
Another novelty, quite curious and no longer working, is that if we shake the mobile with WhatsApp open then we will go directly to the screen to contact WhatsApp. A new section has also been added under Manage Groups: Admin Settings, where you will find the possibility of editing group information and sending messages, from this last option the administrator can disable the group chat functions for all participants, except for administrators. This option can be changed once every 72 hours by silencing the other users in that group.
Finally, and all according to WABetaInfo, the possibility of recording voice messages in a simpler way is very close. Just like WhatsApp for iPhone, when recording a voice message we can block the recording, keeping it active without having to hold the microphone down.
It should be remembered that in order to download this Beta update from Google Play, you have to be a WhatsApp Beta Tester beforehand, something that is no longer possible to do, so if we want to have these new features in the application you have to take advantage of APK by other means than the official application store. Here’s a download link: APK Mirror.
