Now we can download the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android, version 2.18.194, which comes with a new feature that many will love, and is the ability to hide multimedia files, such as photos and videos, in the Gallery of our device from every chat or conversation.
This way we can select in each chat, one by one, if we want the multimedia files can be viewed in the Gallery, or any other application, of our device, or that can only be viewed from the WhatsApp itself.
How to hide WhatsApp photos and videos in the Gallery
To be able to hide the photos and videos in the gallery of our chats, either individual or group, simply go to the contact or group info and see the new option “Media visibility“, from there we can select whether to display the multimedia files or not.
There was already the option to hide photos and videos from WhatsApp in the Gallery, but it was for all chats, not individually as it is now. If you want to hide the WhatsApp media files in all your chats at once, go to “Menu > Settings > Chats” and leave the “Show media in gallery“ option unchecked.
